Travel Insurance foreign guests in Germany
Affordable Travel insurance cover for travellers to Germany and EU/Schengen countries . For short time visits (up to three months) long term stays (au pairs, students...) or multiple entries per year. Schengen Visa InsuranceThe Schengen visa can save travelers money and hassle because they can avoid obtaining individual visas for each of the participating countries that is on their travel itinerary. This is especially beneficial for travelers who wish to visit several European countries on the same trip, as the following 25 countries participate: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The purpose of the visit must be leisure, tourism, or business. Upon the issuance of the visa, the visa holder is allowed to enter all member countries and travel freely throughout the Schengen area. It is strongly recommended to plan your journey within the timeframe of the Schengen Visa as extensions can be very difficult to obtain, thus forcing you to leave to stay in compliance with the Schengen rules and regulations. A Schengen visa allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen countries for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period. Recommendation : Travel Insurance Germany and Schengen CountriesWe only recommend and compare insurance companies with insurance cover in compliance with all the requirements for a Schengen-Visa made by the DECISION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNCIL on 22.12.2003 (2004/17/EU) Valid in all EU Countries, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Applicants for a uniform visa for one or two entries shall prove that they are in possession of adequate and valid travel medical insurance to cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death, during their stay(s) on the territory of the Member States. If foreign guests do not have proof of sufficient travel insurance, a schengen visa cannot be granted and as a result entry into Germany or the European Union (EU) can be denied. Please pay close attention that your Medical Travel Insurance (Schengen Insurance) for the foreigners must fully comply with the requirements for a Schengen Visa by the EU. Any travel insurance for Germany must be valid in all Schengen countries, (not in Germany exclusively) and provide a medical coverage of at least 30,000 Euros The insurance shall be valid throughout the territory of the Member States and cover the entire period of the person’s intended stay or transit. The minimum coverage shall be EUR 30,000. If foreign visitors do not have the financial means and cannot afford health insurance, the travel insurance can also be taken out by their hosts in Germany. |
